Ungdomsøen: TIME TO VOTE

It’s voting time!

Don’t let your vote go to waste - VOTE!

I’ve recently came back from Denmark,

where I took part in a h u g e youth summit, as part of Young Europe Is Voting - a project which brought together

200 youth from 22 EU countries

to Ungdomsøen, a small youth island just off of Copenhagen.

Over that week,

I met hundreds of people

and had many

meaningful conversations.

Together,

we discussed

our fears & hopes for the f u t u r e,

as well as the issues and the challenges we are facing

as youth,

as Europeans and more importantly,

as humans.

It was truly i n s p i r i n g to hear the stories which had led everyone to the summit,

and it was even more refreshing to listen to so many different perspectives.

Everyone was empathetic and respectful - and despite the

variety of backgrounds we came from,

and the differing views we held,

we all shared a c o m m o n belief about

the importance of using your voice and voting.

We culminated this week by combining our thoughts and visions into

one single,

united manifesto,

which we will be presenting to the newly elected European Parliament.
